Service Description

Our Advanced Chemical Peel Certificate will focus on specific client assessment, evaluation, and classification of different skin types using the Fitzpatrick Skin Scale. We will explore factors affecting skin health and rejuvenation as well as conducting a comprehensive client history, skin analysis, and developing an individualized plan for the treatment of aging, acne, rosacea, and pigmented lesions. We will familiarize you with the different types of chemical peels available (TCA & Jessner), their differences and functions as well as discussing the presentation of contraindications to treatment and management of adverse events. As a bonus, stay after class to “Stay in Play” with your instructor. She will be happy to spend extra time answering one-on-one questions. Note: Each attendee must provide at least 1 model to perform the below techniques on. Please be prepared to be a model as well. • Structure and anatomy of the skin • Contraindications for Chemical Peels • Before and after treatment • Equipment and products needed • Setting up your room and work area • Sanitation and Hygiene • Starter Kit Course Length: The Advanced Chemical Peel Certification is a 4-hour hands-on course. You will have 1 hours of theory in the classroom and 3 hours of hands on training with live models. ***Upon completion of the class requirements, each professional will be able to: 1. Project a positive attitude and a sense of personal integrity and self- confidence. 2. Project professionalism 3. Communicate effectively and interact appropriately with clients. 4. Perform basic manipulative skills in the areas of Advanced Chemical Peels. 5. Perform the basic analytical skills to advise clients. 6. Apply academic learning, technical information and related matter to assure sound judgments, decisions, and procedures. ***Please be prepared with a model. Models are due at facility no later than 1pm. If you are unable to provide a model contact instructor immediately. In most cases a model can be provided for you, please plan ahead!
